This room was built for two speakers, a turntable, and the music in between. At the center of it sits a pair of Wilson Audio WATT/Puppy loudspeakers, the two-box monitor-and-woofer design that has defined Wilson Audio's sound for decades. A vinyl collection lines one wall. A rack of electronics anchors the other. Everything in the room points back to one goal: hearing the recording, not the room.
This project added to an already great system. Utah Audio treated the room from the front wall to the side walls and corners with UniVicoustic acoustic solutions.
Acoustic Solutions
On the front wall, Multifuser Wood MKII in Black works alongside VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII in Brown Oak, scattering sound rather than swallowing it, so the room stays lively instead of dead.
The two side walls carry VicSpacer MKII with Flat Panel VMT, spaced off the wall to reach deeper into the low and low-mid frequencies, paired again with VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII in Brown Oak for consistency across the room.
In the corners, Super Bass Extreme Ultra in Brown Oak takes on the low end, with its strongest pull around 100 Hz, exactly where a two-channel room like this tends to lose control of the bass.

The Listening Experience
The result is a room that disappears around the music: a stable soundstage, controlled bass, and a pair of speakers finally heard the way they were designed to be heard.
