A dedicated Hi-Fi room should do one thing well: let you hear the music. The Waterside Vista Listening Room, a private space in the United States, was designed from wall to ceiling to do exactly that, a calm, focused room that still opens onto the water through a large window.
Planned and projected by UniVicoustic's project team, it brings together six of our most capable acoustic products into a single full-spectrum treatment across the walls, ceiling, and corners.

3D render of the Listening Room project's acoustic treatment.
At 33 m² (355 sq ft), this is a generous room for two-channel listening, and a tricky one: a large glass window throws early reflections while the corners build up low-frequency energy, leaving it bright and boomy at once. The brief was to fix both without deadening the room or closing off the view.
Acoustic Solutions
On the walls and ceiling, Cinema Round Premium our works together with VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII to control reflections across the spectrum. The Wavewood MKII's thicker layer of VicPET Wool extends its reach into the low and low-mid range, where wall treatment often runs out of steam.
Diffusion keeps the room alive rather than dead. On the walls, Multifuser Wood MKII scatters sound without absorbing too much. On the ceiling, Multifuser DC4 spreads energy across both the vertical and horizontal planes, right above the listening position, so the room keeps its sense of height and openness.
In the ceiling corners, Super Bass Extreme Ultra takes on the low end, with its strongest pull in the lower bass region, where a room this size does the most damage to bass definition.
Flanking the system, a pair of VicTotem Ultra VMT stand freestanding on the floor. Each one is an absorber, diffuser, and bass trap in a single piece, built on our VMT technology, and together they double as the room's boldest design element.
The Listening Experience
The result reads as calm as it measures. Predicted reverberation time falls from a mid-frequency average of 1.54 s to 0.31 s, with modelled reductions of 51% in the low, 81% in the mid, and 76% in the high frequencies. In the chair, that means tighter bass, cleaner detail, and a soundstage that holds its shape, in a room that still feels open to the daylight and the view beyond the glass.
A space built for one purpose: to hear music the way it was meant to be heard.
