Created with the goal to be a multipurpose room for Victory Sound and Light, a company based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), this studio was designed to serve as an Office, a Voice-over recording facility, a music production room, and a meeting place for customers.
The concept design was developed by Victor de Keizer, founder of Victory Sound & Light, with the help and advice from Vicoustic's Acousticians from the Project Team. The acoustic treatment solutions used in the room include Cinema Round Premium, Flexi Wave Ultra, Super Bass Extreme, Multifuser DC2, and Vixagon. The products have been installed and delivered by Victory Sound & Light, through Vicoustic’s distributor Mafico.
"This used to be a very noisy room due to a lot of parallels and hard surfaces, including a very big window, behind the curtains", explains Victor de Keizer. "During phone calls, a lot of times I was being asked if I was in a bathroom because of all the echo, reflections, and room noise." Furthermore, "recording voice-overs was basically impossible, listening to music and audio sounded distant and 'boomy' and playing the piano was very unpleasant."
"After installing the Vicoustic products, this all changed. The room feels much more comfortable to be in, the echo and room noise is gone, music and audio sounds are tight and direct and there has never been a complaint during phone calls anymore. The room sounds nice and dry without being too 'dead'. Customers coming in immediately experience the change in acoustics and compliment the classy design of the space. The room is just what I want it to be: acoustically and visually impressive!"
