Removable diffusers for the TV set
This is a 7.2.4 Home Theater Room that can also be used as a Hi-Fi Room, developed in Illinois, by Quintessence Audio Ltd., a Vicoustic's and Focal Naim America's dealer. For 2 channel music listening, the Multifusers DC2 can easily be hung to the TV set, in order to take care of the reflective qualities of a flat panel screen. For watching movies, the diffusers are removed allowing to see the TV screen.
This story starts as just a turntable upgrade and took 5 months to complete. The client wanted to upgrade his system to a dream system, so it was suggested that the existing system was moved to the basement.
Acoustic analysis
"The first step was to have the room analyzed by Vicoustic to come up with a plan to treat the room for optimized sound", says Quintessence Audio. "Room acoustics are often overlooked by customers and can have the most significant impact on the sound of the system. We not only wanted a room that sounded amazing, but looked great. Vicoustic will analyze the room and send a 3D rendering showing what the room will look like after we install the panels."
"Vicoustic treatments are not your room treatment from the 80’s and 90’s. Instead of placing cylinders within the room, Vicoustic becomes part of the room and transforms it with a modern look, even allowing the flat panel TV to be sonically treated."
Perfected for Music and Movies
"For music, the system has an amazing sense of space and incredible fine detail. For movies, sounds were swirling all around the room and then the rain started to fall… right over our heads! It was really awesome! Dynamic range, bass impact, 3 dimension sound - it was all there. No need to go to the theater anymore. And all he wanted was a better turntable!"
