Music School Chamber, Percussion and Band Rooms Acoustic Treatment

In the Chamber Music Room, used for string instrument practice and lessons, the installation of a combination of diffusers and absorbers brought about remarkable improvements. The musicians can communicate way better than before. The existing Flutter Echo, caused by parallel straight walls, could be reduced without changing the stereoscopic sound. In Additionally, the white areas of the acoustic panels were creatively utilized to create a projection surface, further increasing the room's versatility.

The Percussion Room, designed for lessons and practice sessions with a wide variety of percussion instruments, was similarly upgraded with the diffuser-absorber combination. This solution effectively eliminated several flutter echoes, providing a clearer and more controlled sound environment. As in the Chamber Music Room, the white sections of the panels were adapted to function as a projection area.

The Band Room, where students rehearse with higher sound volumes, required a more targeted approach. Mainmix OnStage primarily installed absorber panels to reduce the overall sound level in the room, creating a more balanced auditory environment. A projection area was also established using the panels’ white surfaces, making the space more functional.
