From HiFi equipment to acoustic treatment

At first, Adam Goldfarb thought he only needed good equipment for his audiophile passion. Soon he surrendered to the need for acoustic treatment, albeit he was not happy with the way it looked. Finally, he discovered Vicoustic's visually beautiful acoustic panels. Today he is proud of having a well-treated HiFi room that sounds as good as it looks.

High-end journey of an audio enthusiast

A long-time high-end audio enthusiast living in Toronto, Canada, Adam Goldfarb recalls his work to fine-tune a good sounding HiFi room for music listening:

"Like many other audiophiles, the first several years of my high-end journey involved upgrading speakers, electronics, cables, and accessories.  After fine-tuning my system in a previous home, I moved my system into a new space with ceramic floors and bare walls. To my dismay, my previously engaging sounding system was intolerable for even brief listening sessions.

I realized that I needed to invest in acoustic treatments and found an economical package to treat the corners, rear walls, and first reflection points. I would describe the results as transcendent. From that point forward, although I had some reservations about the unappealing aesthetics of these panels, I was a proponent of acoustic treatment as an essential piece for any devoted audio system.

Many years later, at a Toronto audio show, I discovered a room with beautiful wooden panels on the walls. This was my first introduction to the wide range of brilliant room treatments from Vicoustic. I purchased three Multifuser Wood panels for the front wall and was amazed by the sonic and visual appeal of these products."

Scientific and design team at your service

"Earlier in 2023, I had the rare opportunity to build a dedicated listening room for my system. Without question, Vicoustic was going to be my choice to provide the full complement of acoustic treatments for the room.  This is where I discovered Vicoustic Projects, a service where the scientific and design team at Vicoustic provides recommended products and a full rendering of the room based on room dimensions, equipment, and budget.

I am thrilled with the results in every conceivable manner.  Visitors to my home, both audiophiles, and non-audiophiles, are astounded with the new space.
