Transforming Acoustics and Design at a Resort
The Zaton Holiday Resort restaurant, located near Zadar, Croatia, has undergone an acoustic and visual transformation with the installation of Vicoustic’s ViCloud VMT 3D panels in Petal and Round shapes, alongside Cinema Round Premium panels. This project, developed by Audion d.o.o. in collaboration with architect Tajda Ivanišević from Krekić Avangard d.o.o., addressed a pressing need for acoustic optimization in the restaurant.
The Challenge: Excessive Noise and Reverberation
Like many modern dining spaces, the restaurant featured hard, reflective surfaces that contributed to a high reverberation time. This led to excessive noise buildup, which detracted from the dining experience. The investor sought an acoustic solution that would effectively reduce noise while complementing the restaurant’s aesthetic appeal.
The Solution: Functional Elegance with Cloud Panels
To tackle these challenges, Audion d.o.o. recommended cloud panels as the ideal solution, considering the restaurant’s high ceilings and the need for ease of installation. The ViCloud VMT 3D panels, shaped as petals and round circles, were distributed across 12 strategic points in the space. The clouds were installed in a variety of colors, including white, beige, light grey, and orange, creating a dynamic and vibrant visual effect.
The Result: A Harmonious Blend of Acoustics and Aesthetics
“The overall effect is twofold: acoustics improved significantly and the design of the panels distinguished the restaurant as modern, beautiful and caring for visitor's comfort.”
Amil Makota, Audion d.o.o.
The Zaton Holiday Resort restaurant now stands out as a space that prioritizes both aesthetics and the dining experience.
