Chroma Key Acoustic Panel
By installing Flat Panel VMT acoustic absorbers in green color, a Chroma Key Professional Audio-Video Studio in South Korea managed to both treat the room acoustics and use the walls and ceiling as chroma key backgrounds.
The VMT capacity to reproduce any color turned out to be a useful solution to accomplish the green tone required for the Chroma Key, a visual-effects and post-production technique for compositing (layering) two images or video streams together.
The client was fully satisfied with a sound-absorbing panel that they were able to use for their visual work, mostly for performance capture for the videogame industry. The panels worked well for their chroma key goals, reporting no visual issues.
Speech recording solution
In the case of this site, the sound system is based on “Speech recording”, so the experts from SAMA Sound focused on designing room acoustics to ensure proper clarity for each frequency band.
Following the measurement results done by SAMA Sound, it has been confirmed that most of the acoustic problems appearing in this site are manifested in the low frequency sound energy. After improvement, the STI (Speech Transmission Index) and C80 (clarity of sound index) values, including the reverberation time, exceed expectations and appear as a suitable room acoustic environment for studio purposes.
Vicoustic developed a special version of Flat Panel VMT Chroma Key to fit this kind of demands.
