18 years of music production
The Portuguese music recording studio Blim Records celebrated 18 years in 2023 in its refurbished installations, in Lisbon.
“It's a big achievement for us”, says Ricardo Ferreira, CEO and founder of Blim Records about its 18th anniversary. “All these years we did so many different types of works, of productions”, he recalls. Among them, he highlights D'ZRT, a hit boys' band in Portugal, and the music record singer Áurea.
Vicoustic was there from the beginning
Throughout the years, Blim Records moved its studio's location several times and improved its conditions. From the beginning, the first choice for acoustic treatment was Vicoustic. The first foam acoustic panels are still in use, sometimes with new fabric coverings using the studio's brand signage, coexisting with Super Bass Extreme Ultra Wavewood used in corners and ceilings.
A suspended solution with Cinema Round Premium was placed on the ceiling of the control room. The microphone isolation shield for voice recording Flexi Screen Ultra MKII has been the latest addition to the setup.
