The 'Quintessence' of hi-fi is in acoustics

The latest showroom of the Chicago-based reseller was treated following the guidelines given by Vicoustic's experts, both as an acoustic study and a design concept that matches perfectly with the ending result.
Sound-absorbing panels are placed on the walls to control reflections by taking energy from them. This is being done by Cinema Round Premium, Flexi Wave Ultra and Flat Panel VMT panels, the latest in the Natural Wood Black Laurel pattern.
Sound diffusing panels control the reflections by spreading the energy evenly by the room, enlarging the listening position and creating a sense of spaciousness inside, while preventing the room from becoming too acoustically “dry” or “dead”. For this, the Multifuser Wood MKII stands out on the main wall behind the amplifiers and sound speaker while the Multifuser DC3 are strategically placed in the ceiling.
Based on a room modes study, the team recommended the use of Super Bass Extreme Ultra to treat low frequencies. The bass traps were located where the maximum pressure levels occur within the room, in the corners of the room.
