Following the great success of VicStudio Box, Vicoustic has developed a new acoustic treatment kit created to maximize the acoustic conditions of a room used for a home or project studio, without compromising sustainability, health and comfort: VicStudio VMT Box.

The ideal home studio

At Vicoustic, we understand that every Home Studio will always be a compromise between the available budget and the ideal case-scenario. And this should also not limit the human health and visual aspects of the room, as a comfortable environment is the basis of productivity, whether you’re composing, mixing, mastering, etc.

A sustainable solution

The Flat Panel VMT available on this kit is a sustainable solution alternative to standard absorbing foams. Vicoustic developed Virtual Material Technology taking into account a holistic approach by fully integrating its acoustic performance with other sustainability goals, such as human health (air quality), human safety (fire), use of recycled materials (VMT is made of VicPET Wool, produced mostly from recycled plastic) that are also recyclable.

An exclusive studio in a box

VicStudio VMT Box was developed to improve room acoustics using 6 Flat Panel VMT with VicSpacer Plus for enhanced absorption performance, and 4 units of Multifuser DC2 for sound diffusion. It’s available in 3 different finishes (Grey, Black and White), including exclusive VMT patterns inspired by the lines of our flagship product Wavewood.

We have maintained the look of the Wavewood style also on the VMT panels as the Wavewood pattern is an easily recognized trademark for Vicoustic and is highly in demand from the studio community.

3 steps to improve acoustics

Depending on your goals, available space and budget, you can improve the acoustics of your studio, either all at once or in different steps, by acquiring one or several kits. With one box, you can make your first step in room acoustics, by starting to treat first reflections from side walls, late reflections from back wall and low frequencies with bass trap. In the second step, with another box, you can start treating the front walls and ceiling, whilst improving treatment to the back wall. In a third box, you can conclude the ceiling treatment to control flutter echoes and improve diffusion in the back of the room.

For now on, Vicoustic will be offering two kits in the professional audio segment, with the choice between traditional Wavewood panels (VicStudio Box) and this new generation VMT panels (VicStudio VMT Box).
