VicBooth wins Japanese Good Design Award 2022

The VicBooth range won the Good Design Awards 2022, the oldest and one of the most prestigious design awards in Japan, for bringing the added value "function of adjusting room acoustics", which makes it an outlier among the sector of soundproof booths, either for sound recording performance with VicBooth Ultra or for workspaces with VicBooth Office.

A booth like no other

Here are the comments to VicBooth by the judges of the Good Design Award: 

"The diversification of work styles in recent years has led to an increase in proposals for booth products, but this product offers value not found in other similar products by specializing in the function of adjusting room acoustics. 

Although soundproof rooms for performances and other purposes have existed for some time, they have been specialized for music or research purposes. This product has a high affinity for interior spaces and can be used for any purpose, including business and performance. 

It is also highly evaluated for its modularity, which allows it to be adapted to a variety of installation environments."

Vicoustic's partner MI7 Japan received the award on behalf of Vicoustic, and will be delivering VicBooth Ultra and Office throughout the country. 

As outlined in the Good Design Awards webpage, VicBooth is the next generation of acoustic booths, combining sound control performance and high design quality. The modular system allows free customization, and the optional sound control panels provide a higher quality, more comfortable environment than conventional booths that are simply designed to provide sound insulation while achieving a noise reduction level of 30dB or more.

VicBooth has been certified for Indoor Advantage™ Gold by SCS Global Services for Furniture, meeting indoor air quality standards. 

VicBooth has also been rewarded by the German Design Awards 2022, making the Portuguese-manufactured booth a double-winner of the most prized trophies for outstanding design from two of the major industry and product development countries in the world: Germany and Japan.
