A listening room full of acoustic solutions

We invite you to the newly created MJ Audio Lab Vicoustic show/listening room, in Poland, where you can see and test a wide range of acoustic panels and solutions, including various types of absorbing and diffusing panels and bass traps.

Both recordings on this video were done on-site, without any post-production, straight through DPA 4560 microphones. The treated version is recorded exactly the same way and has the same sweet spot as the untreated version, with the same SPL level.

“This treatment is really great!”, says Robert Fijałkowski, from MJ Audio Lab.

Before the adaptation, the room had extremely unfavorable acoustic parameters. The terrible rumbling and incredibly long reverberation time were not optimistic considering their size. The RT was over 4 seconds at 125Hz and the average RT was at 2.29s.

The main assumption of the Vicoustic showroom was to perform the acoustic change only using acoustic solutions. Following the refurbishment of the room, good listening conditions were achieved, especially concerning the initial situation. According to MJ Audio Lab measurements, the average reverberation time was reduced to 0.26s.

This showroom is open in Warsaw, at MJ AudioLab installations, Vicoustic's Distributor for Pro Audio and Hi-Fi solutions in Poland.
