Kakao Bank, a South Korean, digital-first financial institution focused on online banking services.
To maintain their gold standard in content production, Kakao Bank partnered with SAMA Sound, a professional audio specialist, to treat their dedicated production studio with Vicoustic acoustic solutions. The goal was simple: achieve professional-grade audio clarity while maintaining the clean, futuristic aesthetic of the Kakao brand.
SAMA Sound opted for an all-white color palette to match the studio’s bright, modern interior. By using Natural White and White Matte finishes, the acoustic treatment becomes an architectural feature rather than a distraction.
Ceiling Treatment
To handle vertical reflections without lowering the ceiling height, ViCloud VMT 3D Round panels were suspended. These clouds provide high-performance absorption while adding a sophisticated, layered look to the overhead space.
Wall Diffusion & Absorption
The walls were treated with a combination of Wavewood Ultra Lite and VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII. These panels utilize Vicoustic’s iconic wave design to balance sound energy, preventing "dead" spots while ensuring voices remain crisp and natural during recordings. For essential low-to-mid frequency control, Cinema Round Ultra VMT panels were integrated, providing the necessary absorption to ensure the room’s "dryness" is perfect for post-production.
