Every record collection deserves a hi-fi room with a dedicated acoustic treatment. The Groove Room is exactly that: a dedicated hi-fi listening space in the Netherlands, designed from wall to ceiling to honor the music it plays. Planned and specified entirely by UniVicoustic's project team, this room combines five of UniVicoustic's most capable acoustic products into a cohesive, full-spectrum treatment and the result is a space that looks as intentional as it sounds.
The Challenge
Small rooms often exhibit a build-up of low-frequency energy near room boundaries, especially in corners, which can affect bass definition and overall clarity. Getting the most out of a high-end system means addressing these issues properly.

Acoustic Solutions
To address the room's acoustic challenges, UniVicoustic project team specified a full-spectrum treatment across walls, ceiling, and corners.
On the walls and ceiling, VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII and Cinema Round Premium work together to control mid and high frequency reflections, keeping the room balanced without losing its sense of acoustic life. On the ceiling only, Multifuser Wood MKII scatters sound omnidirectionally above the listening position, preserving the sense of space that makes music feel open and three-dimensional.
On the ceiling corner, Super Bass Extreme Ultra tackles the low-frequency buildup between 75–125Hz, the range where room modes in a small space cause the most damage to bass definition.
In the corner, VicTotem Ultra VMT stands alone as a freestanding full-spectrum treatment, absorber, diffuser, and bass trap in one, and the room's most distinctive design element.
The Listening Experience
The Groove Room was built for a single purpose: to hear music the way it was meant to be heard. A space that feels bigger than it is, sounds better than it should, and makes you want to stay for one more side.
