Portugal-born, France-raised, US-based, Egzod is an electronic music producer that has garnered over 150 million streams across platforms since 2017. For his home studio in the USA, he visited Vicoustic's facilities in his native country, Portugal, and was impressed by the lab used for acoustic tests, and all the innovation and progress achieved by the brand. He requested an acoustic study that allowed him to implement an acoustic treatment for his control room.

"I'm very happy. This is looking and sounding amazing. To me, the acoustic treatment is really the foundation of a music studio", says Egzod.

In order to control early reflections, Vicoustic has proposed sound-absorbing panels, which control early reflections by taking energy from them (Cinema Round Premium, VicPattern Ultra Wavewood, and Wavewood Ultra Lite panels). The VicPattern Ultra Wavewood and Wavewood Ultra Lite panels also contribute to preventing the room from becoming too acoustically “dry” or “dead”, by reflecting a portion of the high frequency sound energy back to the room.

In small rooms such as Control Rooms one of the major sound field anomalies is related to room modes, due to the relationship between low-frequency wavelengths and room dimensions. For low-frequency acoustic treatment, Vicoustic has recommended the use of Super Bass Extreme Ultra.
