Vicoustic, Portugal’s world-leading manufacturer of sustainable and innovative acoustic solutions, is proud to announce an expanded strategic partnership with Unitile (part of the United Group), India’s industry leader in the building materials segment. Through this collaboration, Vicoustic will license, produce, and distribute its patented VMT and other acoustic solutions in India, catering to the rapidly growing commercial spaces market and beyond.
Vicoustic has already established a presence in India, primarily focusing on its Pro Audio and HiFi/Home Cinema products. With this new collaboration, the company takes a significant step into one of the world’s largest democracies, focusing on the office and commercial spaces segment. Unitile, a well-respected name in the Indian industry, will be the key partner in facilitating this geographic expansion.
Production is scheduled to begin in October 2024 at Sanjan, India’s largest and most advanced acoustic manufacturing facility. This will ensure that Vicoustic’s VMT-patented products are locally produced and distributed under the co-branded name UniVicoustic. The partnership leverages Unitile’s extensive network, which includes sales offices in key regions such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Gujarat, and Pune, along with an expansive dealer and distribution network.
