Comfortable acoustics
The Artists Lounge Area and Conference Room of Studio DMI underwent acoustic treatment determined for Offices and Public Spaces, helping to create an environment matching the one in the Professional Audio Studios. The rooms where the industry producers and music stars meet required a different treatment.
One of the major aspects to take into account is to develop solutions in order to achieve a proper reverberation time (RT) within these rooms. This allows people to properly communicate and discuss during meetings. Vicoustic proposed the following solutions in order to control the reverberation time within these rooms: sound absorbing panels, which control the reflections by taking energy from them (this is being done by Vicoustic’s Cinema Round Premium, Flat Panel VMT, ViCloud VMT and VicPattern).
Custom-made acoustic panel
In the Conference Room's wall you can see a high resolution image with a cityscape and the studio's logo, all created in a custom-made Flat Panel VMT, showing it's versatility usage. Both the Artists Lounge Area and the Conference Room are integrated in Studio DMI (Digital Music Innovation), a state of the art complex of sound studios in Las Vegas. The 4,000 sq ft space features also 3 studios and a recording room.
The studio received acoustic treatment designed by Gavin Haverstick in collaboration with Vicoustic and assembled by Focal Naim America. The project was made possible in partnership with Focal, ZAOR Studio Furniture and Dangerous Music.
