INTEGRATED POLICY ON QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Visound Acústica S.A. (Vicoustic), as a reference company in acoustic products and services, we are aware of our corporate responsibility, regarding design and quality as key factors in our development. Therefore, we believe it is our duty to commit to the continual improvement of the effectiveness of our Quality Management System, to the quality of our processes and services and to compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, in order to fully meet the needs of our clients and achieve our overall objectives, thereby consolidating the prestige of the Vicoustic brand.

Accordingly, the Vicoustic Integrated Policy is based on the following pillars:

CLIENTS

We bring to market innovative solutions — both standard and bespoke — validated by our technology and team of specialists. At Vicoustic we have the most advanced tools to accurately simulate the desired acoustic outcome. We aim to ensure a high level of operational efficiency, contributing to boosting product sales and guaranteeing delivery deadlines. Our goal is client satisfaction: by assuring the quality of our products and services, we seek to exceed expectations and foster long-term loyalty.

VICOUSTIC TEAM

We define and communicate Vicoustic's overall objectives at all levels, involving and encouraging employees to introduce improvements in new products, activities and services. We foster a culture of awareness through the engagement of all employees in optimising results, teamwork and daily accountability for environmental and occupational health and safety matters. We invest in the professional development of our employees through training and the acquisition of experience.

All employees are informed of the implications of non-compliance with QMS requirements, including the direct impact on the quality of products and services, client satisfaction and the reputation of the organisation.

QUALITY OBJECTIVES

This policy provides the framework for defining, reviewing and monitoring Vicoustic's Quality Objectives, established for relevant levels, functions and processes of the organisation, in alignment with the strategic direction and the commitments set out herein.

COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

On a daily basis, our goal is to ensure compliance with the requirements of clients and external interested parties, as well as with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

We combine technical expertise with the quality of our raw materials and the efficiency of our processes, ensuring a high-quality end product with a modern and attractive design.

We support community initiatives. We feel a constant commitment to actively contributing to the society in which we operate.

ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY

We foster an environmentally responsible culture that contributes to improving the sustainable performance of our operations. We prioritise the adoption of environmentally friendly products, implementing best practices in waste reduction and directing our waste to licensed operators. The prevention of environmental and workplace accidents, as well as the elimination of risks to the health and safety of our employees, is an integral part of our policy.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Vicoustic commits to the fundamental principles of human rights, labour rights, environmental responsibility and business ethics. Our social responsibility policy integrates the following commitments:

  • Respect for human rights, promoting dignity, equity and justice across all operations;
  • Promotion of equal opportunities and prohibition of any form of discrimination, ensuring diversity in the workplace;
  • Prohibition of child labour, forced or compulsory labour;
  • Respect for freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, guaranteeing workers the right to organise and negotiate working conditions without retaliation;
  • Combat against corruption and unethical practices, ensuring an upright and transparent business conduct;
  • Clear and accessible communication of social responsibility practices to all interested parties;
  • Continual improvement of the social responsibility management system through monitoring, evaluation and periodic review.

Vicoustic formally declares that it is not involved, directly or indirectly, in any of the activities considered unacceptable by the Forest Stewardship Council®, namely:

  • Illegal logging or trade in timber;
  • Violation of civil, traditional or human rights in forest operations;
  • Destruction of areas of high conservation value;
  • Significant conversion of natural forests to non-forest uses;
  • Use of genetically modified organisms in forest operations;
  • Violation of the ILO Core Conventions.

In the context of the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification certification, Vicoustic commits to not sourcing timber from unacceptable sources, such as:

  • Illegally harvested areas;
  • Forests converted to plantations or other non-forest uses;
  • Regions where genetically modified organisms are used;
  • Threatened areas of high conservation value;
  • Operations involving violations of civil, human or traditional rights.

This policy is communicated to all employees and interested parties, and is made available through appropriate channels. It is reviewed annually, or whenever relevant changes occur in the context of the organisation.

In 2007, Vicoustic was born from a clear mission of filling a gap in the market: to offer acoustic solutions that combine high performance with aesthetic design.

2008

Creation of Wavewood

Inspired by sound’s natural flow, WaveWood set an industry benchmark and remains a reference in design, acoustics, and quality, protected by an EUIPO Registered Community Design.

2012

Headquarters and R&D Lab Inauguration

Vicoustic opened its Research and Development Center in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal, featuring acoustic measurement labs and spaces dedicated to testing, innovation, and new material development.

2016

First Vicoustic Academy

A training program designed to teach the principles and practices of interior acoustic design for different types of rooms.

VicPET Wool delivers high acoustic performance in panels, clouds, and wallpapers. Integrated into the Flat Panel VMT, it combines sustainability with customizable finishes in stone, wood, or concrete.

2020

VicBooth Ultra

VicBooth Ultra, a modular acoustic booth that unites sound isolation, design and sustainability. The GEN_VMT collection won the Red Dot Award 2020 for design quality.

2022

Two awards in one year

VicBooth won the German Design Awards 2022 for Excellent Product Design in Building & Elements and the Good Design Awards 2022 in Japan for its acoustic-adjustment functionality.

A New Home for Innovation

Vicoustic inaugurated new state-of-the-art facilities in Paços de Ferreira, becoming one of the world’s largest acoustic treatment factories.

2025

Design & Sustainability

VicShape 3D won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 for its unique 3D geometry, sustainable materials, and architectural versatility. Also won PEFC and FSC® certifications.
