Laboratory to test acoustic products
Creating a lab to test acoustic products with innovative acoustic panels requires careful planning and the right equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing. At Vicoustic's HQ, in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal, the room was redesigned by the Acoustic Project Team.
The primary purpose of this lab is to test and evaluate the acoustic performance of various products using innovative acoustic panels, in order to provide data-driven insights to manufacturers, architects, and designers for optimizing sound quality and noise reduction in different environments.
Control Room for tests
The lab features a central control room where researchers can monitor and control the testing process, being developed inside the acoustic reverberation chamber. This laboratory is equipped with a computer, software for data analysis, and a centralized control system for adjusting sound levels and acoustic parameters. The lab is staffed with a team of experts, including acoustic engineers, researchers, and data analysts, who are responsible for conducting tests, data analysis, and generating reports.
Now equipped with the VicSpacer XXL and Flat Panel VMT, the Vicoustic Lab is a cutting-edge laboratory designed to thoroughly evaluate the acoustic performance of innovative acoustic panels. The goal is to provide valuable insights and data to support advancements in sound management and product development.
