From war to the best studios

War didn't stop Ukrainian EDM Artist and Producer Artur Romanyshyn, better known as Artex, from pursuing his dream in the professional music industry.

"Since the war started I left my home studio in Kyiv, Ukraine, and moved to the Netherlands. I was looking for opportunities to continue making and releasing music and was visiting several professional studios there", says Artex.

It was during these visits to Dutch state-of-the-art audio industry facilities that Artex got the experience of how pro studio control rooms sound. "I wanted to achieve the same sound in my new home studio in Warsaw, Poland, where I moved for long-term living after my time in the Netherlands. So I had to make the acoustic treatment of my entire studio for production, mixing and mastering from scratch to achieve the best results."

Acoustic treatment needed advice

Artex started purchasing acoustic panels from Vicoustic but soon realized that he lacked the expertise to achieve the room acoustic treatment goals he desired just by acquiring the panels.

"I needed to confirm that I had made the right choices and also to ask a few more questions to optimize the acoustic performance of my room. I was confident that Vicoustic could recommend additional solutions to maximize the potential of my space."

After requesting a project from Vicoustic's team of Acousticians, he was advised about the best placement for the panels he already had and the solutions he still needed to apply.

Artex had already installed two Super Bass Extreme Ultra panels on each one of the two front corners, and also Cinema Round Premium and Wavewood Ultra Lite on both of the side walls.

He intended to install similar panels on the ceiling. He was also seeking ways to enhance the response of low frequencies.

For these reasons, the budget-line Super Bass 90 bass traps were recommended for installation on the ceiling corners. He was also advised to add two more Super Bass Extreme Ultra bass traps (one on each side) in the same colors as the existing ones for aesthetic reasons.

"I am fully satisfied with the result and happy having my new pro studio. Now I am finishing new music here", says Artex
