Seven rooms for showcase

Vicoustic was approached in order to recommend solutions for seven demo rooms within Thanh Tung Audio facilities, in Ho Chi Minh, divided in four floors. The solutions presented aim to contribute to an improvement of the acoustic conditions within all the demo rooms. Being Thanh Tung Audio a distributor for Vicoustic in Vietnam, this recommendations also aim to present a proper showcase of Vicoustic’s product line, while improving each room’s acoustics.

Most rooms were designed to be listening rooms, therefore the acoustic treatment acts on reverberation time (RT), early reflections and sound field anomalies (room modes, flutter echoes, etc.). Vicoustic has proposed sound absorbing panels, which will control reflections by taking energy from them (this is being done by Cinema Round Ultra VMT, Flat Panel VMT, Flexi Wave Ultra, ViCloud VMT 3D, VicPattern Ultra Lotus and VicPattern Ultra Wavewood).

Sound diffusing with Ultra Fuser

Our Project Department also proposed sound diffusing panels, which will control the reflections by spreading the energy evenly by the room, enlarging the listening position and creating a sense of spaciousness inside, while preventing the room from becoming too “dead” (this is being done by Cinema Round Ultra Fuser, a poly cylindrical diffuser, and Multifuser DC2, Multifuser Wood MKII 36 and Multifuser Wood MKII 64, all of these being two-dimensional diffusers).

For low frequency acoustic treatment, Vicoustic has recommended the use of VicTotem Ultra VMT, Super Bass Extreme Ultra and Super Bass Extreme VMT. Preferably, the bass traps should be located in the corners of the room, where the maximum pressure levels occur within the room.

Red Dot awarded GEN_VMT showroom

A more cosy and design-friendly solution was conceived for a room with the Red Dot Product Design award-winning GEN_VMT tiles and VicPattern Ultra Reflex.
