Phos4traxx productions is an independent music production brand founded by Josh Green, also known as Michel Luchinger. The catalog spans pop, dance, EDM, house, tech house, and melodic electronic music, with over 70 million streams and collaborations with artists like Robin Schulz, Avicii, EDX, and Goldfish, on labels including Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner, and Ultra Music.
For a production room at this level, the acoustic environment is critical. Mixing decisions, low-end balance, and stereo imaging must translate across club systems, streaming platforms, and consumer playback.
From Project to Reality
Our Project Team is composed of senior acoustic engineers and designers, experts in treating rooms according to both acoustic and design needs.
The control room has a 22 square meter footprint, parallel walls, and a low ceiling. That geometry triggers excessive reverberation, early reflections that smear the stereo image, and low-frequency build-up. For an electronic music studio where bass weight is central, low-end control is the priority.

The Acoustic Treatment
- Cinema Round Premium on the walls and ceiling for broadband absorption (NRC 0.95, Class A)
- Flexi Wave Ultra on the side walls for combined mid-frequency absorption and diffusion
- Multifuser Wood MKII 64 on the rear wall for bidimensional diffusion
- Wavewood Diffuser Ultra MKII on the ceiling for mid-frequency diffusion
- Super Bass Extreme Ultra in the corners for low-frequency control
- Flexi Wood Ultra Lite behind the door to remove a hidden source of reflections
The phos4traxx productions Cape Town studio now operates as a critical listening environment for the production, mixing, and mastering of commercial electronic music releases.
