Joachim Flor, owner and CEO of Waldorf Music, has recently unveiled his personal creative sanctuary: the Flor Bella Control Room. Designed as a space for both music production and video editing, Flor sought to create an environment that inspires creativity while delivering top-quality sound.

"The Flor Bella Control Room is my personal creative space. I designed it to get back into music production and video editing - in an environment that inspires and delivers top-quality sound.”

From the outset, Flor knew that exceptional acoustics would be key. “The idea had been on my mind for a while,” he says. “I wanted to spend more time making music again, and I knew that to do it seriously, I needed a space with excellent acoustics. That’s where it all started.”

Flor turned to Vicoustic for the studio’s acoustic treatment, drawn first to the design and later convinced by the performance. “Honestly, the design of Vicoustic’s modules immediately caught my attention. I loved the aesthetic, and the more I learned about the acoustic performance behind the visuals, the more I was convinced it was the right choice.”

The project development process was smooth and collaborative.

“The Vicoustic team was responsive, proactive, and supportive throughout the entire process. I felt well looked after from start to finish”

Now that the installation is complete, Flor is impressed with the results. “I haven’t spent as much time in the room as I’d like just yet, but even now I can say: the sound is excellent. The space feels balanced and inspiring - and that makes a real difference when you're working creatively.”

The studio features a wide array of Vicoustic products, including the Super Bass Extreme Ultra, Multifuser Wood MKII, Multifuser DC3, VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII, Cinema Fortissimo VMT, and  VicDisplay Guitar. On the VicDisplay Guitar, Flor adds, “I had seen the VicDisplay systems before and immediately liked it. It’s a stylish and practical way to showcase my favorite guitars - great functionality with a design edge.”

Reflecting on the broader importance of acoustics, Flor emphasizes their professional value:

“Because acoustics matter - more than many realize. If you want to work professionally, you need a space that supports your goals. Vicoustic helps create those ideal conditions.”

He acknowledges that many sound engineers underestimate acoustic treatment due to budget or space limitations, but he strongly advocates for prioritizing it: “Don’t wait as long as I did. It’s absolutely worth it - for the sound, for the workflow, and for the enjoyment of being in a room that truly works.”

The Flor Bella Control Room stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful acoustic design, blending aesthetic sophistication with professional-grade performance - a space where creativity and sound quality meet seamlessly.
